psyborg® Wins Lake Macquarie Excellence in Micro Business – For the Third Time
In 2021 we won it for the first time — back when we were still working from home, building brands one project at a time.
In 2023 we claimed it again, now operating from our Caves Beach studio and beginning to integrate AI into our work.
And now in 2025, psyborg® has been awarded Lake Macquarie Excellence in Micro Business for the third time.
This isn’t just an award — it’s a symbol of how far we’ve come.
When we won in 2021, we were a tight studio focused on branding, web and design with a loyal client base and a growing portfolio. By 2023, we had evolved into a creative and strategic partner for businesses, integrating psychology with design, hosting community events, and stepping into the early world of AI.
This 2025 win reflects another leap forward. Over the past two years we’ve:
- Launched our AI Brand Engine and AI Business Optimisation services, helping clients think smarter and work more efficiently.
- Expanded into in-house green screen video production as the first step towards a fully fledged Dark Studio — an AI-driven production line for visual content that blends human creativity with machine precision.
- Built Direct-to-Film (DTF) merchandise printing into our offering, bringing brands to life on apparel and products.
- Grown Caves Connect into a thriving local business network and piloted the Caves Connect Work Experience Program with Swansea High School.
- Continued to back the community through sponsorships including Swansea FC, the Lake Macquarie Running Festival, and the YSNB Youth Surfing National Battle.
Winning in the Micro Business category for a third time is a testament to our model — growing our impact while staying lean and agile, leveraging technology to work smarter, and continuing to strengthen our bottom line. It proves that size doesn’t limit influence when you design with intention.

psyborg® was founded by Daniel Borg, an Honours Graduate in Design from the University of Newcastle, NSW, Australia. Daniel also has an Associate Diploma in Industrial Engineering and has experience from within the Engineering & Advertising Industries.
Daniel has completed over 2800 design projects consisting of branding, content marketing, digital marketing, illustration, web design, and printed projects since psyborg® was first founded. psyborg® is located in Lake Macquarie, Newcastle but services business Nation wide.
