The Long Game
Over the past 20 years, I’ve logged over 3,500 projects.
Daily timesheets. Client notes. Concepts. Outcomes. Mistakes. Wins.
At the time, I didn’t realise I was doing anything special.
It was the engineer in me that wanted to track the work … stay sharp, stay honest.
But something interesting has started to happen.
Looking back, I can now see how the work has started to echo.
Projects that seemed disconnected now intersect.
Clients reappear years later with bigger ideas.
Old skills resurface in new formats aided my new tech.
And I find myself stepping into opportunities I didn’t chase, but somehow designed the conditions for.
It’s not luck. It’s not hustle.
It’s still design, but on a deeper level.
So here’s the insight I’m sitting with:
I haven’t been chasing opportunities, I’ve been designing the conditions for them to find me.
Quiet systems. Long vision. Purposeful repetition.
All layered into something that’s starting to move faster than I can explain … it’s momentum that you can feel.
Not sure where it leads, but I like the direction.
