AI Scooby Doo Worlds
I created these mini worlds using AI with inspired styling by one of my favourite cartoon series, Scooby Doo. Can you see it?
The aesthetic is unmistakable – that vintage Saturday morning cartoon vibe with its distinctive colour palette, architectural exaggeration and slightly spooky atmosphere. What makes this interesting isn’t just the nostalgia factor. It’s what it demonstrates about AI’s ability to understand and replicate specific visual languages.
Training AI to capture “Scooby Doo style” requires understanding more than just colours and shapes. It needs to grasp the architectural vernacular, those haunted mansions with impossible proportions, the fog-shrouded settings, the contrast between bright characters and moody environments. The AI interprets these cues and applies them to entirely new scenes.
This is the practical application of style transfer at work. Same technology that powers commercial design work, just pointed at childhood nostalgia instead of client briefs. The skill is in prompt engineering—articulating what “Scooby Doo aesthetic” actually means in visual terms the AI can process.
For a design studio, this capability matters. Clients often struggle to articulate the visual language they want. They reference films, shows, brands, eras. “Make it feel like Wes Anderson.” “Give it that retro sci-fi vibe.” AI that can interpret and apply specific aesthetic languages becomes a powerful tool for rapid concept exploration.
These mini worlds aren’t just fun experiments. They’re proof of concept for style adaptation, reference interpretation and visual language translation—all skills that transfer directly to client work.
Part mind. Part machine. Part Scooby Doo.
