Central Coast Summit
It’s always nice to run into locals (@yasmincatleymp) when you’re on the south side of the Swansea bridge.
Had a fantastic morning listening to experts in tech at the Central Coast Tech Summit where the biggest takeaway is the lack of skills in tech and the challenges & pressure that puts on Small Business.
Tech skills shortage affects regional businesses disproportionately. Metropolitan firms compete for limited talent pools through higher salaries and career opportunities. Regional businesses struggle recruiting technical capability forcing reliance on metropolitan consultants or deferred technology adoption compromising competitive positioning.
Small business technology pressures extend beyond implementation into ongoing maintenance and evolution. WordPress sites require updates, security monitoring and performance optimisation. Digital marketing demands platform expertise, analytics interpretation and campaign management. Single-person technical dependencies create vulnerability when staff transition or capacity reaches limits.
Regional tech summit attendance demonstrates psyborg®’s positioning bridging design and technology domains. Meeting local MP signals community engagement beyond commercial transactions. Central Coast proximity enables relationship building across neighbouring regional business ecosystems expanding network beyond Lake Macquarie whilst maintaining coastal focus.
Thanks for the invitation from the team @servicensw
